The creation of two exquisite perfumes, L’Aurora and Giove Nettuno e Plutone, were commissioned to Lorenzo Dante Ferro by Princess Rita and Prince Nicolò Boncompagni Ludovisi, based on documents discovered in their family’s antique archives and on two love stores that have spanned centuries of life at Villa Aurora in Roma. This villa is perhaps, Rome’s best kept secret and within its walls are many magnificent works of art, in particular the frescoes of Guercino and the famed mural painted by Caravaggio: Giove Nettuno e Plutone.
